Clinical value of combined plasma brain natriuretic peptide and serum cystatin C measurement on the prediction of heart failure in patients after acute myocardial infarction

This research investigated the predictive value of combined detection brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) and cystatin C (Cys C) in heart failure after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Sixty-five AMI complicated by (HF) PCI 79 non-heart (non-HF) were involved this research. The levels Cys BNP measured. Risk factors for analyzed multivariate logistic regression analysis. Efficacy on predicting receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. significantly higher HF group than non-HF group. independent influencing causing within one year PCI. area under predicted curve (AUC) C, BNP, 0.763, 0.829, 0.893, respectively. was highly valuable PCI, which can be regarded as serum markers diagnosis treatment failure.
